Terms of Service

Last updated: August 1, 2026

These terms cover using TaamToom's image API and the embed builder at /docs. By signing in, generating an API key, or requesting an image from the API, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

1. The service

TaamToom is an HTTP API (/api/v1/taamtoom) that renders a word you supply as a flower-typography PNG image, along with a browser-based builder for configuring and copying that URL. It is currently in closed beta: access to the API requires a key, and both the feature set and rate limits may change without notice as the product develops.

2. Accounts and API keys

  • You get an API key by signing in with Google. One active key per account.
  • Your key is a secret credential — anyone who has it can make requests under your rate limit. Don't commit it to a public repository or share it publicly.
  • You can regenerate your key at any time from the account menu. This immediately invalidates the previous key — any embed still using the old one will start failing, so update your embeds first.
  • We may suspend or revoke a key that's abusing the service (see Section 4).

3. Acceptable use

When using TaamToom, you agree not to:

  • Attempt to bypass, automate around, or excessively probe the rate limits.
  • Share, sell, or publish your API key so third parties can use it as their own.
  • Use the service to render content that's illegal, hateful, or infringes someone else's rights.
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or probe the service for vulnerabilities outside of good-faith security research.
  • Resell or rebrand the raw API as your own product without our written permission.

4. Rate limits and availability

Authorized requests (a valid key) are currently limited per key; unauthorized requests are limited more aggressively to discourage key-guessing. Limits exist to keep the service usable for everyone during this experimentation phase and may be tightened, loosened, or restructured as usage grows. Because this is a beta project, we don't guarantee uptime or a particular response time, and the service may be unavailable or changed without advance notice.

5. Intellectual property

You retain all rights to the words and content you choose to render — TaamToom claims no ownership over the images your requests generate, and you're free to use them anywhere. The TaamToom name, the site, its flower/font assets, and the underlying rendering code remain ours. Nothing in these terms grants you rights to that code or those assets beyond calling the API as documented.

6. Termination

You can stop using TaamToom and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or revoke your API key if we reasonably believe you've violated Section 3, without prior notice where abuse is ongoing.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

TaamToom is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability — typical for a single-maintainer project still in beta. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. We'll update the “Last updated” date above when we do; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
